My First Dream From God

God gave me my first dream in January 2012 and the interpretation.  In the dream, I was in a stream and I disturbed a rock or a log and a snake came out from under it.  The snake kept coming at me and would not leave me alone.  And as it did, I was paralyzed with fear.  I then cried out in the dream and put my eyes on God, so the fear left and I was able to get away.  This is the interpretation:  I was plagued by fear, anxiety, insecurity and worry my entire life.  Shortly before I had the dream, I really began “pressing into” God and the things of God.  As a result, I was delivered from fear.  God was telling me in the dream that when I started running after him, the devil took notice.  This was the disturbing of the rock or the log.  And the snake (serpent) represented the Devil.  He wanted to try and put fear back on me and God was warning me that he would try and do so.  But God was simply telling me, “Just keep your eyes on your Father God and keep crying out to me and the devil will not be able to weigh you down with fear again.”  You see, fear in our lives paralyzes us and keeps us from stepping out in faith for the things God has for us.  Fear is actually “faith working in reverse”.  It is believing the worst to happen in the future when we could just as easily believe for the best to happen.  And God says, “Fear not,” so many times throughout the Bible.  Fear then is actually disobedience to God – it is sin.  God said he was unhappy with the wicked servant that took the talents God had given him and hid them in the ground.  The wicked servant did that because he was “afraid” that he would lose them.  Praise, glorify and thank God today with supplication and he will help to break that spirit of fear off of you.  In Jesus Christ’s Holy Name.
