I began having problems with my sciatic nerve on the left side of my body about three or four years back. Apparently, there were some problems with some of the discs in my back – at least that’s what the doctors said. At the time, I was beginning to learn to worship the Lord God as my Jehovah Rophe, “The Lord My Healer.” And I actually began to receive relief in my back. Fast forward to now in January 2012, unfortunately I had fallen back into some various bondages and strongholds of sin for awhile. So, my progression with knowing God and pressing into the things of God, to include his healing power, stagnated for awhile. Several weeks ago, around Christmas time, I began seeking the Lord to deliver me from the “slimy pit”. And the thing about a slimy pit is that you cannot remove yourself from it. Of course, I did have to co-labor with God in being willing to be delivered from my sin bondages and strongholds. And Praise Be To the Lord Almighty, he delivered me from those bondages, the chains of even things I had been struggling with for 23 years just fell off through the Lord’s power. The Lord’s power came as I began to approach him with all praise, glory, supplication and thanksgiving. God’s power is like a light switch. The power is always there, but we need to be the one’s to turn it on. And the way you turn it on is through the praise, glory, supplication and thanksgiving. Because the Lord inhabits the praises of his people. That means he “lives there”. That means “his presence is there”. And when the Lord God shows up, faith rises up in you. And then you begin to speak the Words over yourself, according to the promises contained in the scriptures. As I’ve continued to “when you’ve done all else, simply stand” with this issue, I’ve received more and more and more of a progressive divine healing from God. I learned that an instant healing is called a miracle. But many times, we are progressively healed and that is what is happening in my situation. Remember that “healing is the children’s” bread. And never give up. I went to three chiropractors, a massage therapy center and the conventional medicine doctors at an orthopedic center during the process. All of them provided only very temporary relief. I now use products like Isagenix to help me remain and stay well, to help me in being a good steward of the body God gave me. But if I run into something that can be taken care of no other way, I take the healing balm and medicine found within the Words of God in the Bible. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, be healed!
